A Level and BTEC Results
Joy at Exam Results as Grades Rise Year on Year
In line with the national picture of a rise in top grades, results at Kingsmead continue to soar, maintaining our position among the top schools in the country.
Students Getting What They Want
The results are in, and once again Kingsmead students have excelled themselves. This year, greater numbers of our students than ever before have achieved the grades they need to get into some of the top universities in the UK and we could not be prouder of them!
A Record Number of Students Gain University Places
All students at Kingsmead who applied for university have successfully gained a place. This includes a range of in-demand courses at universities such as Durham, York, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Liverpool and Manchester. In addition, several students have gained places on highly competitive and sought-after Degree Apprenticeships with companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Grades have improved on last year: 1 in 10 A-Level grades are higher than in 2023, one quarter of all grades are either A* or A and two thirds of all grades are B or higher. Across our vocational qualifications, 60% of all results are Distinction grades - the equivalent of a grade A at A-Level.
Exceptional Teaching from Highly-Trained, Committed Subject Specialists
Our headlines figures show that students have maintained an average grade of B at A-Level and Distinction in vocational subjects. Overall, more than 60% of students have achieved A* to B grades, with some truly impressive results in Chemistry, English, Art, Geography and Technology to name only a few.
