Determined Year 11 achieve fantastic well-earned results
These results represent five years of hard work and were no surprise to the staff and parents at Kingsmead School. The results closely match those outcomes achieved during mock exams in December and February. They were delivered under rigorous JCQ exam conditions with fully qualified external exam invigilators. We are confident that these results fairly represent those that students would have achieved had they sat their exams in 2020.
Maria Mincher, Head of School, comments that “Kingsmead students should feel that they utterly deserve these outcomes. We are fully aware of how hard they were working before the Pandemic, eagerly attending after school revision classes, holiday and Saturday schools. They are representative of how truly exceptional young people can be and we are so proud of them.
The students embraced the Kingsmead core values of Resilience, Innovation, Mindfulness and Employability, actively taking responsibility for their own outcomes with the support of our passionate staff.”
Kate Greenwood, Senior Leader for Key Stage 4, says “we want to acknowledge that the last few months have not been easy for this year group. They are a wonderful group of students and deserve every success that comes their way. These brilliant results allow them to move forward with confidence. The school will continue to build on these outcomes in 2021 with the new Year 11 who have worked diligently throughout the lockdown, proving themselves in assessment and end of year exams.”
A special mention should go to Reece Watson who achieved ten grade 9-8, Well done!
