Kingsmead students have made a great start to the new year. A real focus on high expectations in the quality of teaching and therefore learning is clearly paying dividends. Students are wowing visitors to the school with their polite nature, proud wearing of our uniform as well as their prepared and positive approach to learning. Challenging tasks like the tesselating maths challenge, PE sport leadership games, preparing for the Y7 Music showcase and immersion in French lessons are helping to create a real buzz around the school. That's not to mention the fish dissections in Science, the indoor light designs in Technology and the use of prints on stretched canvasses in Art.
We are pleased with the progress we already seeing in learners as they excitedly tackle the new content in their subjects this year. We look forward to continuing to share with you what students are learning and the success they are having.
Year 7 Futures Day is coming up next week as the school enters the Ryman's National Enterprise competition. We also have our first of many visits for our 6th form aspiring Oxbridge candidates as they prepare their submission papers.
