Students enjoy Pi day in Maths

Our fantastic Maths team celebrated Pi day with Kingsmead students today.  Sporting their Pi T-shirts, a number of problem-solving challenges were set up and competitions run throughout the day.  One such competition involved having to try a range of memory and revision methods to memorise Pi to as many digits as possible.  The winning student was Bradley Balley who recited Pi to 36 digits, narrowly beating Xander Burnett by 1 digit!
