6th Form's emotional visit to The National Memorial Arboretum

On the 16th October 2017, a group of nine Kingsmead Sixth Form Students undertook some community volunteering work at The National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, they worked alongside some of our War Veterans in association with “Walking with the Wounded”.

In preparation for Remembrance Sunday the students helped to improve the environment of the site and were involved in the maintenance of the Remembrance Plaques.

The students were extremely moved by the experience, especially working with the veterans and being given the opportunity to contribute to such a wonderful worthwhile cause.
