The new July newsletter has been published. This has been sent through parentpay to activated accounts or through tutors for those who have not got activated accounts. A copy is also available on the website.
Following the tragic accident on Friday, the thoughts of everyone at Kingsmead are with Holly's family.
We offer our condolences to them and everyone at John Taylor High School at this difficult time.
Kingsmead students enjoyed healthy competition battling for this year's house sports cup. A lovely day was the perfect setting as the school celebrated individual and team successes. Hayes were the eventual winners in a close run event.

We are really pleased with another successful day for our new Y7s. Today they had a chance to record their own music video, complete Drama presentations and work in groups in an introduction to English.
We are eagerly looking forward to meeting our new Year 7s on the 28th and 29th June for their induction days. Staff and students have been getting themselves ready and we are excited as this start your journey with Kingsmead.
At Kingsmead we believe that students who look smart and take pride in their appearance also take pride in their work and their school community.
In hope to raise awareness for mental health this week, Mrs. Sharples and Mrs. Pritchard arranged a ‘giving back’ activity at break time for both Year 12 and 13 students.
As we have done for many years, students have been taking part in the YTF scheme, with a reading group meeting every Wednesday to share books published in 2016.
Kingsmead have continued to promote reading for pleasure for our students, and impressing on those less keen how important a life skill reading is.
