Impartial advice and links

 

Kingsmead's full time Careers Advisor, Mrs Julie Butler is based at the entrance to the Science department (C-Block).  Mrs Butler works throughout KS3, KS4 and KS5 to provide students with a continuing programme of independent and impartial information, advice and guidance. Students receive information via targeted group consultations, one to one interviews and drop in sessions.  Further information on Sixth Form, College Open Days, Apprenticeship, University Courses and more can be obtained from the Careers Office or by contacting Mrs Butler.

'Kudos' is a software package that assists students in exploring career ideas that are matches to their likes and dislikes and skills and qualities by answering a range of questions.

Log in user name and password are identical to the first 6 digits of the students' school e-mail address.

An Audience with...

An opportunity to meet and ask questions of an expert in the career you are interested in.  Guests from a wide range of careers meet small groups of interested students after school.  Sessions are arranged to match students' career aspirations as shared from the school questionnaire.

This is a Careers website set up to enable students to further explore their career ideas.  It gives information on a particular career role and links to other career roles within its sector that could be of interest.

Students need to register on this website to access full details.  There are sessions available throughout the year dedicated to help with this.  These are advertised through the notices every week.
